The WRC is set to move south, to the African continent, for the next round of the 2026 season, arriving in Kenya for the Safari Rally, a notoriously difficult event for the teams and drivers to master.

However, the weather can play a pivotal role in the difficulty of the rally, as seen last year when the rain lashed down on day three.

The Sleeping Warrior stage had been converted from a rocky stage into a flooded, waterlogged quagmire. It produced moments of endurance as the conditions saw a variety of stage times.

The stage was ultimately won by Toyota’s Takamoto Katsuta, who had taken the stage win by over 15.3 seconds. He cut down Ott Tanak’s lead to 15.9 seconds after the Japanese driver took out 1m and 31.8s from the Estonian.

So, will the weather cause havoc once more this weekend? According to the meteorologists at AccuWeather, here is the weather report.
