On Monday, F1 confirmed the sport will continue to race at the iconic Spanish circuit until at least 2032, as part of a multi-year extension and a rotating deal with Belgium’s iconic and legendary circuit, Spa-Francorchamps.

The announcement followed expectations that the circuit would be axed from the calendar as the Spanish Grand Prix will move over to the Madring, in Madrid.

However, the sport has confirmed it will remain on the calendar periodically, under a new race title: the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. It will make appearances in the championship in 2028, 2030 and 2032, with Belgium filling the gaps in 2027, 2029 and 2031.
