Who starts where at the United States Grand Prix?

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed pole position for the upcoming 2025 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, but who will start where on the grid?

Compared to Saturday’s sprint race, which saw both McLarens retire on the first lap thanks to contact between Kick Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg and Mclaren’s Oscar Piastri, the top two remain unchanged heading into the Grand Prix.

Verstappen will lead the field from pole position ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris, who will start second, but they will have Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc just behind, in third.

There was a single change to the starting positions after Saturday’s qualifying, as Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll will have to serve a five-place grid penalty in Sunday’s race for causing a collision with Haas’ Esteban Ocon.

Late on in the sprint, Stroll dived down the inside of turn one, in a bid to overtake Ocon. The two collided after the former locked up into the corner, and both drivers retired from the race following the incident.

Additionally, Racing Bull’s Isack Hadjar has been granted permission to start the race after the Frenchman failed to set a lap time on the board in qualifying on Saturday evening.

The Racing Bulls driver spun around in the esses and crashed heavily into the barrier on his first timed lap in qualifying, in Q1. However, the stewards were happy with his lap times in practice and sprint qualifying to suffice the 107% requirement.
