Who qualified where for 2025 Miami GP Sprint

Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes, took home his first maiden pole position – of any kind – at the Miami Grand Prix as the young Italian pipped both McLarens.

Antonelli has achieved a new record in his rookie season, becoming the youngest ever polesitter in any race format at the Miami GP. The Mercedes driver put in an impressive lap in SQ3 to seal the top spot 0.045s ahead of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. 

The two McLarens rounded out the top three with the championship leader, Oscar Piastri, pipping Lando Norris in second and third, respectively. 

They were accompanied by, new dad, Max Verstappen, Red Bull, who welcomed his daughter into the world. The four-time world champion and two-time Miami race winner could only best fourth for the sprint grid, behind his championship rivals.

However, further down the field, it was a troublesome session for Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda, who endured a SQ1 knockout after failing to make it to the line before the chequered flag came out.
