Evans has secured victory in the frozen forests of Umeå to take home his first win of the 2025 world championship, holding off the advances of Katsuta who finished the weekend second, 3.8 seconds off Evans’ winning time.
The Briton took home a maximum of 35 points in Sweden as he took the overall rally win, and maximum points through Super Sunday and the Power Stage.
As the British and Japanese teammates finished 1-2 overall across the weekend, Super Sunday and power stage, it means that Toyota will take home another set of maximum points: 60.
The defending manufacturer’s champions last achieved this in the season-opener when Sebastien Ogier took the win in Rallye Monte Carlo and Evans finished runner-up.

Hyundai’s defending champion, Thierry Neuville completed the podium in third having pipped his teammate Ott Tanak to the podium finish. Their teammate, Adrien Fourmaux took home a solitary point thanks to putting the fifth-fastest stage time on the Wolf Power Stage.
It means that Toyota now leads the championship with 120 points to their name, 48 points ahead of Hyundai who will now have 72 points thanks.
Evans now stands as the overall championship leader, ahead of Ogier who slumped to second having missed the event. Kalle Rovanpera, despite a mixed weekend, moves up to third overall, providing Toyota with a 1-2-3 in the driver’s standing.
In the WRC2, home hero Oliver Solberg took victory for the third time at the event as he finished comfortably ahead of Finnish drivers Roope Korhonen and Mikko Heikkila, in second and third respectively.
