Two rounds remain on the WRC 2024 calendar and the title continues to head towards its natural conclusion at a blistering pace with Hyundai’s championship leader, Thierry Neuville in mathematical contention to secure it in Europe.
As it stands, with two rounds left – CER and Rally Japan – Neuville can afford to take it easier than those below him in the championship and still walk away with the title.
The Central Europe Rally – CER – will continue to participate in three different European countries; the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria, following its debut last season. So who are competing in CER?

Hyundai
Let’s start with the current championship leaders. Neuville and Tanak will continue to perform their duty for the team as the Korean marquee drives towards their first championship win since 2019.
However, Andreas Mikkelsen will return – with co-driver Torstein Eriksen – for his fourth outing with the team following appearances in Monte-Carlo, Croatia and Poland.
Toyota
Toyota, who have cut down Hyundai’s lead to 17 points, will again sport a four-car field in CER.
Sebastien Ogier will continue to compete in his part-time schedule alongside Elfyn Evans as Takamoto Katsuta returns to the action. Following a mature drive in Chile, Sami Pajari will pilot the fourth Yaris Rally1 alongside co-driver Enni Malkonen.
M-Sport Ford
The third and final team in the championship – and its standings – will keep their usual line-up of Adrien Fourmaux and Gregoire Munster in the final European event.
Jourdan Serderidis will return since he took part with the team in Greece this year, and he will pilot their hybrid-less variant of the Rally1 Puma which was previously driven by Martins Sesks in Chile.
