Sainz has been on the lookout for his next seat for 2025 all season with links to Williams Racing and Audi being possible prospects to acquire the Spaniard’s services.

Audi was a possible contender for Sainz given his family’s reputation with the brand as his father, Carlos Sainz Sr., two-time world rally champion, secured the win in this years edition of the Dakar Rally with Audi.

However, ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, Sainz remains unemployed for 2025. When he was asked, in the FIA press conference, if Audi looks to be a ‘real opportunity’ Sainz responded:

“Not really. I think my future is still being discussed and obviously analysed very carefully. And there’s changes to a lot of teams that I’m looking at for next year pretty much every week.

“So there’s changes, evolution on the team market as much as there is on the driver market. And I’m just going to keep giving myself time to take the decision to analyse all these things that keep changing.”

Ferrari’s outgoing Spaniard hasn’t made a decision on his career with him being heavily linked with a move to Williams Racing for the next season. Although, the Spaniard is keeping his options open for a possible championship-winning car.

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
