Christian Horner comes under scrutiny for F1 comment

Red Bull’s Christian Horner has come under some scrutiny after his interview with TalkSPORT, where he said women watch Formula One for the ‘great-looking drivers.’
As the paddock heads to Barcelona for the first round of F1 testing, Christian Horner was sat down with TalkSPORT’s Laura Woods this week.
However, he suggested women are watching the sport on the basis of ‘great-looking drivers.’
In the interview, he said:
“I’ve watched it [Netflix’s Drive to Survive] and the latest season is just coming out.
“I’ve seen a preview of the first four episodes and this latest season is just insane because of the rivalry and things behind-the-scenes.
“You’ve got to remember they’re making a TV show as well, but for what it’s done for the sport it’s phenomenal.
“F1 is bringing in a young generation. It’s bringing in a lot of young girls because all these great-looking young drivers.”
In light of this, it has put the Red Bull team Principle under scrutiny on social media.

Netflix’s latest season of Formula One: Drive to Survive comes out on March 11.
