Rally Paraguay: full WRC Rally1 entry list
8th August 2026The World Rally Championship is set to head across the Atlantic Ocean for the next event, Rally Paraguay, and the entry list has been confirmed.

Following back-to-back European rounds, spanning Greece, Estonia and Finland, the WRC will cross the Atlantic Ocean towards South America for back-to-back events on the continent.
Paraguay will be the first stop, followed by Chile for rounds 11 and 12, before returning to Europe for Rally Italia. There is speculation that the Saudi Arabian round may not go ahead for its scheduled season finale if the Middle East remains volatile.
Despite this, Toyota’s Elfyn Evans remains at the top of the championship with 201 points to his name, while the defending nine-time world champion, Sebastien Ogier, falls to fifth overall.
The multiple world champion has confirmed he will be contesting the remaining rounds of the WRC season, alongside his usual co-driver Vincent Landais, who missed out Finland due to personal reasons.
The nine-time champ suffered a heavy crash last time out, retiring from Finland as a result, after he and his stand-in co-driver, Julien Ingrassia, were taken to the local hospital for overnight checks. Despite this, Ogier has one simple aim for the remainder of the season: win every rally.
There will be a total of 10 WRC Rally1 contenders in Paraguay, so who will be taking part as the sport heads to South America?
Toyota
Five cars are set to enter the upcoming WRC event for the Japanese manufacturer. It will continue to be led by Evans, who will be first out on the road ahead of the event.
The Welshman will be joined by his regular teammates and closest championship rivals, Sami Pajari, Takamoto Katsuta, Oliver Solberg and Ogier.
Hyundai
The South Korean marque will continue to run their regular drivers, Adrien Fourmaux – who heads the Hyundai outfit – ahead of his teammate, and 2024 world champion, Thierry Neuville.
However, it will be a return for Hayden Paddon, who will replace Finnish driver Esapekka Lappi in the third car, having run at his home event last time out. It will be a return to the fold for Paddon, whose last event was Rally Japan, earlier this year.
M-Sport Ford
Cumbria’s M-Sport team will round out the 10 Rally1 entries with only two cars being present at the next event, having recently run a third with Martins Sesks at the wheel.
Joshua McErlean will head the Rally1 Pumas ahead of his teammate, Jon Armstrong.
