Mercedes has confirmed they are set to bring a new livery design to the third round of the 2026 season, at the Japanese GP, with a new small livery change on their championship-leading W17.

However, based on the team’s social media post, a digital render of their new ‘livery’ for the upcoming race weekend, their new design is a minor change to their overall package.

The car remains the same as previously seen so far, with the design remaining relatively identical to the car they launched with. The Front wing is the only thing that has seemingly changed with the new ‘livery.’

Mercedes has incorporated a bold wolf design on the front wing, featuring just the head of a wolf, accompanied by yellowy-orange eyes. See their reveal below.

Mercedes has enjoyed a strong start to their 2026 championship campaign with an undefeated record after three races, two grand prix and a sprint. Their drivers, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, have enjoyed grand prix victories in Australia and China, respectively.

Russell currently holds a narrow championship lead over his teammate Antonelli. The Briton currently sits on 51 points, four points over his Italian teammate (47). The team, enjoying 1-2 finishes in both Grand Prix races so far, enjoy a comfortable 31-point lead over Ferrari (67), who sits second in the championship, with Mercedes out front on 98 points.

The announcement follows both Haas and Racing Bulls, who are set to bring special bespoke liveries to the Suzuka circuit for the upcoming race weekend.
