Evans took the victory over polesitter Nico Müller, and Müller’s Porsche teammate, 2024 Champion Pascal Wehrlein. The Kiwi took his first points of the season with his first win of the year. A feat he repeated last season where he took the victory from last in Sao Paulo, before not scoring until Round nine in Berlin, where he would take the win again. Evans’ 15th victory in Formula E places him one win ahead of 2016 champion, Sébastien Buemi, with 14 wins.

Müller took second after taking his first Formula E pole position, managed to take home second position. The Swiss driver has led the most laps through Season 12 so far, leading 27 of the 109 laps raced so far. The podium in Miami was only Müller’s second in Formula E history, with the Porsche driver taking his first since the controversial 2021 Valencia ePrix.

Pascal Wehrlein rounded out the podium, after starting 12th on the grid. The German made his way to the front of the field after taking his first attack mode early, and due to the wet weather, managed to fight his way to the front of the pack, and with the top five, stretched clear of the rest of the field.

Müller led most of the ePrix, battling with Drugovich, and de Vries at the start, until the collision between António Félix da Costa and Felipe Drugovich took them out of contention. The crash allowed Mitch Evans and Nico Müller to break free from the chasing pack, with Evans emerging into the lead of the race after a stunning switchback move at the final corner past Nico Müller on lap 27.

The crash resulted in a 10-second time penalty for Felipe Drugovich, as the Brazilian rookie finished 17th on track after having to pit to change his nose cone. António Félix da Costa managed to recover to sixth position after a third collision in three races.

Dan Ticktum failed to finish in Miami yet again. The Briton failed to progress through the field following a failed strategy, starting with dry pressure tyres and stalling in last with Maximilian Günther. The Miami ePrix was Ticktum’s fourth retirement in five races, with him failing to finish in any of the three races so far this season.

A crash early on in Sao Paulo took the Kiro driver out, with a collision with the DS Penske of Maximilian Günther taking him out in Mexico City.

Winner last time out in Mexico City, Nick Cassidy was lapped by the chequered flag. The Citroën driver finished 16th, one place behind teammate Jean-Éric Vergne. Both Citroën drivers struggled for pace throughout the ePrix, with all four Stellantis cars rounding out the back of the grid, only broken up by the also struggling Nissan of Norman Nato, and a damaged Felipe Drugovich. Taylor Barnard in the DS Penske was the highest Stellantis powered car in 14th.

Joel Eriksson and Envision had a strong race, with the Swede taking home fourth place. Eriksson qualified sixth and was fighting for the lead for the majority of the ePrix, being in the battle pack at the front of the field.

Following Nyck de Vries’ staunch defence of third from the Porsche of Pascal Wehrlein, de Vries, Wehrlein, and Eriksson were quite a way off the back of the leaders. After taking attack mode a lap before de Vries, Eriksson’s attempt to pass the 2021 champion was easier. However, the former Dragon / Penske driver was quite a way behind Wehrlein, eventually finishing four seconds behind him.

Sébastien Buemi in the other Envision climbed his way up to seventh after 41 laps, after the 2016 champion started last due to contact with Edoardo Mortara in qualifying.
