Mercedes reveal livery of 2026 F1 challenger

Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 Team has revealed their livery for the upcoming 2026 Formula 1 season, which will maintain a similar look to last season.

Ahead of the 2026 behind-closed-doors pre-season test in Barcelona, next week, for Shakedown, Mercedes has revealed their livery for the upcoming season on Thursday.

Mercedes becomes the fifth team to reveal their livery of the 11 teams on the grid, following Red Bull, Racing Bulls, Haas and Audi.

However, these digital renders are the first step in Mercedes’ pre-season car launch, with an official launch event happening in February.

The car itself remains similar to its predecessor, ahead of the overhauling technical and power unit changes, with the W17 maintaining its silver, black and green livery.

The car will be predominantly black with the Petronas green flow line separating the black and silver colour scheme. The side pods will also see blocks of silver that seem to flow to the rear of the car.

The engine cover will retain its usual decorations of the iconic Mercedes three-pointed stars.

“Formula One will undergo significant change in 2026, and we are prepared for that transition,” Said Mercedes F1 Team Principal & CEO, Toto Wolff. “The new regulations demand innovation and absolute focus across every area of performance. Our work on the new car, and the long-term development of the Power Unit and advanced sustainable fuels with PETRONAS, reflects that approach.

“Releasing the first images of the W17 is simply the next step in that process. It represents the collective, sustained effort of our teams in Brixworth and Brackley. We will continue to push hard in the months ahead.”

The team will conduct an official online season launch on February 2, 2026.
