This is it — the championship decider. Either a new world champion will be crowned, or the reigning world champion will retain his championship title for a fifth consecutive time.
McLaren’s Lando Norris had taken the championship lead early on in the season but lost it after Oscar Piastri’s early run of form, only to snatch it back in Mexico.
Following the Qatar Grand Prix, it means the championship will be forced to go to the season finale after Norris saw his championship lead slashed in half from 24 points to 12.
Piastri remains an outside contender now, 16 points behind his championship-leading teammate, after the Australian clawing back four minutes after the Qatar race.
With all the excitement around the championship fight, it is expected to be an unsurprising weather forecast for the Middle East. According to BBC Weather, it is expected to be a dry and sunny affair for the season finale.
