Ahead of final practice at the Bahrain International Circuit, the FIA confirmed changes to the circuit on Saturday, which have been relayed in the FIA Race Director’s notes.
These changes will join the list of other changes to the circuit ahead of the event, which include a number of changes such as: an extended gravel bed at turn four, bumps repaired on pit straight and turn nine and the glass was replaced at the start and finish platforms.
In the latest Race Directors’ notes, released on Saturday, the document confirms the white line at the end of turn four has been widened with the blue line repositioned behind the white line.
Turn four is not the only section to have a blue line positioned behind the white line on the track, with it also being added to the entry of turn six. In addition, blue lines were also added to the exit of turns 2, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 15.
The race director has also confirmed maximum lap times ahead of qualifying and the race, on Friday.
The Marques’ document claimed that during and after qualifying, and on reconnaissance laps, the drivers must stay below a time of 1:54.0 between the safety car lines.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
