Tänak and Järveoja out of Rally Finland after SS3 crash
2nd August 2024Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja have been ruled out of Rally Finland after crashing out and hitting a tree on the third stage of the weekend.

Hyundai’s World Rally Championship challenger, Tänak and Järveoja crashed out of the rally 2km into the third stage of the day after hitting a tree.
As a result, the stage was understandably interrupted to allow the medical crews to get to the Estonian crew. Tänak was reportedly okay but Järveoja was taken to hospital for further checks.
Shortly after the crash, Tänak provided fans with an update. He said:
“Unfortunately, we went off the road and hit a tree on SS3 of Rally Finland. I am feeling fine, but Martin has been taken to hospital for further checks. We will provide more updates when possible.”
Following the crash, Hyundai confirmed the Estonian pair would not restart the event after their crash.
Although both drivers were okay and well, Järveoja is set to remain in hospital overnight under observation as a precaution.
On X, Hyundai said:
“Following their crash on SS3 of Rally Finland, @OttTanak and Martin Järveoja are doing well. However, Martin will remain in hospital tonight under observation. The crew will not restart on this event.”
