Susie Wolff files ‘criminal complaint’ against the FIA
21st March 2024F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff has filed a criminal complaint against the FIA following allegations in December.
On Wednesday, Wolff announced on social media that she had filed a ‘criminal complaint’ with the French courts on March 4.
This was in relation to the statements about Wolff which were said by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile.
In her post, on Instagram, Wolff said:
“I can confirm that I personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on the 4th of March in relation to the statements made about me by the FIA last December.
“There has still not been any transparency or accountability in relation to the conduct of the FIA and its personnel in this matter.
“I feel more than ever it is important to stand up, call out improper behaviour and make sure people are held to account.
“Whilst some may think silence absolves them from responsibility – it does not.”

On the post, Wolff has received support for her actions and more notably the official Mercedes F1 team liked the statement.
In December, Wolff was a probe of an FIA investigation by their compliance department – alongside Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff – as it was suspected to be sharing confidential information.
The probe was a result of a report by Business F1 Magazine which claimed there were concerns about confidential information being shared between the Wolff’s.
Following unanimous support from Mercedes – including their statement – and complete support from their rivals, the FIA pulled a U-turn and dropped the investigation.
After the investigation was dropped, it was not satisfactory to Wolff who stated her reaction was ‘is that it?’ and the F1 Academy Managing Director called for transparency and accountability.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
